Building Bridges to Careers Community Meeting
September Focus: Our Future Workforce
Are you curious about BB2C? Would like to help bridge the gap between education and employment? You are invited to attend our Community Meeting designed to inform and provide the chance to ask questions, get connected to our work, and to each other. This community meeting serves as the Business Advisory Council meeting for Washington County Schools.
September's meeting will provide a forum for discussing OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE. How is this term used, what is impacting our future workforce, and how we can develop possible solutions for working together. Join in the conversation....
If you are an employer, an educator, a parent, a student, or an organization that supports ‘workforce’, you should attend. We need all perspectives represented in the solutions, so we will start the conversation that evening with three different perspectives: Misty Crosby of Buckeye Hills Regional Council, Tracy Najera of Children's Defense Fund – Ohio, and Jeff Hollister of Ohio Manufacturers Association.
When: September 13, 4:30 - 6:00
Where: Washington County Career Center, 21740 OH-676, Marietta, OH 45750
Community meetings will occur on a quarterly basis, each with a different focus. The next Community Meeting is our annual Family Career Awareness Day, October 18, 4-7 PM, at the Jr. Fair Building.
