Career Development Projects

Belpre Youth Chamber of Commerce (BYCC)  is the new youth arm of the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce and is open to youth grades 6-12. Originally funded by local grants from Marietta Area Community Foundation and Our Community's Foundation, the project seeks to provide mentorship experiences, leadership training, exposure to good business practices and opportunities for community service. A major activity is the planning and implementation of a local Little Free Library project, promoting literacy through free book exchange.

(MC)² Science Collaborative

Marietta City Schools (MCS) and Marietta College (MC) have an ongoing partnership that supports the science curriculum for all four elementary schools. Science professors from MC have teamed up with K-5 teachers from MCS to provide hands-on activities in the classrooms and at MC. Al grade levels participate, with a culminating campus tour for fifth grade students called Meet a Scientist Day.
