See you at the Summit!

BB2C, in partnership with Rural Action, is hosting the first annual Appalachian Community and Career Connected Learning Summit in October. The one-day, virtual event will bring together people from all over the region. The goal of the summit is to connect people who do work similar to BB2C and to help grow programs like job shadowing, internships, career mentoring, career events, and youth entrepreneurship programming all across the Appalachian region. At BB2C, we foster relationships between education, community, and business sectors to inspire career choice and make our communities stronger. BB2C has been recognized as both a state and national leader in this work - work we call Community and Career Connected Learning. We have been asked by neighboring counties and states to help others build programs like we have in Washington County, and this summit is one of our first opportunities to bring everyone together.
 
At the first annual Appalachian Community and Career Connected Learning Summit, all people interested in growing Community and Career Connected Learning in their communities will have the opportunity to talk about program ideas, troubleshoot issues with others in similar positions, and network for resource sharing across the region. 
 
BB2C has been hard at work in neighboring counties, helping to identify other organizations built for Business Engagement with Career Awareness. Our goal at BB2C is to build a network of all organizations doing the work of Community and Career Connected Learning so every student in our region has access to quality programs that make successful students, strong businesses, and prosperous communities.
